My Epiphone Les Paul Standard has the Snake Oil mini humbuckers, the greatest secret in the industry. Found them by chance looking up alternatives to fit into my Gibson Les Paul Studio 50s tribute, which has p90 cut-outs. Best $30 I've spent upgrading a guitar. Those pickups are by far my favorite I've played for Rock and Blues music. I wanted to get my Gibson back into p90 territory so I swapped the Snake Oils into the Epiphone, and came back to C B Gitty to try out their take after not really finding a set I liked years earlier from the other manufacturers. C B Gitty did not disappoint. The pickups sound mean with some overdrive, and chimey when clean. I modified one of them to be RWRP so the middle toggle would gain humbucker attributes, and it absolutely cuts in that setting. These guys should be charging a lot more to be honest. I've sold a friend on the Snake Oils after he played mine. He said "that's how a les paul should sound."
