I’d wanted a Surfcaster since seeing the old Charvel ads on the back covers of music mags back in the day. Then they disappeared and I’d forgotten about them until I was reminded by seeing Eastwood’s take on the design. I HAD to have one! After I ordered it, I happened upon an original Charvel and I hated its razor-thin shredder neck, so I had misgivings about the Eastwood I’d ordered. Then it arrived. The neck is SO MUCH better than the Charvel’s. So not only did I finally get my Surfcaster, I got a better one than I would’ve gotten if I had bought an original Charvel-made one. Thank ya fellas!!!

Ordering process was very smooth. The lefty Surfcaster I received needed a complete setup and fret dressing as there were 3 unlevel frets. After spending $150 for this work the guitar was playable. The guitar is made with cheap electronics and a cheap bridge / tremolo (had to block the tremolo so the guitar will stay in tune). The guitar sounds good for surf & rockabilly. For half of what this guitar costs I was able to get a new Gretsch that arrived with a perfect setup.
