I love that Blissoma is vegan and tries to use the least amount of plastic as possible. My dermatologist says that my skin looks amazing ever since I began using Blissoma. I love the sun protection products offered, as I live in Hawaiʻi where just walking outside I need protection.

Beautifully ☀️ late-autumn day today, so I’m keeping my #amroutine simple with the #Blissoma discoveries from this month’s #beautyheroes 📦, along with the Radiant Rani Brightening Saffron Serum from #RanavatBotanics, which has been a staple for years. ☀️ #BlissomaSkin is new to me, and after trying these products for the last week, I’m impressed by their textures and skin-feel. The Aura Phyto Brightening Serum is a pre and post sun serum, and it’s an emollient treatment packed with actives to brighten and repair the skin. ☀️ The Photonic Light Shifting Solution SPF25 is a tinted moisturiser, and the tint is so transparent that it almost feels untinted. It’s the lightest zinc oxide SPF I’ve tried, and it’s outstanding. I can see this becoming my go-to #SPF this winter. ☀️ I have shared my thoughts on @ranavat’s Radiant Rani so many times already, and it’s the most amazing brightening oil for all skin types. You absolutely must try it if you haven’t already, it’s one of my favourite multitasking staples. 💯

I was pretty excited to open the May @beautyheroes box because the brand @blissomaskin featured in it was totally new to me. I have never tried anything from them before and also one of the products in the box is a Brightening serum. If you have been following me for a while, you know how I get around the word Brightening! Aura Phyto Brightening Serum, is a protective and reparative serum rich in vitamin and antioxidant rich ingredients and is designed to help the skin rebound after UV exposure. Extracts of Pomegranate and fermented wasabi, Acai, Baobab, Bearberry, Burdock, Clary Sage, Cranberry, Rooibos, Rose paired with coenzyme Q10 makes this one a powerful and potent pre and post sun treatment. It sure does sound super promising! The main Hero product though is the Photonic Light Shifting Solution SPF25 which basically is a light weight, mineral sunscreen with SPF 25 and a tinted moisturizer rolled in one. The emulsion aims to not only provide UVA and UVB protection but also hydrate and nourish the skin with its unique nutrient dense recipe loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, phytonutrients and skin supportive compounds. Pretty neat! Right? I got to play around with this a bit and it's very reminiscent of the @joshrosebrook Nutrient Day Cream that was featured last year around the same time in one of my Beauty Heroes boxes. I missed sharing about that one, so I will talk in detail about these two in a seperate post or a story. I have had a heck of a time with sunscreen the past few months... One old favorite gave me a horrible reaction, red and blotchy skin if you must know! Another has switched formulation and now gives me a horrible white caste, and I’m pale AF. In swoops this guy ❤️. The @blissomaskin Photonic. No white caste, super light weight, and no reaction! This has an SPF of 25, and wears very nicely under makeup. What daily SPF do you use? I feel like I get attached to something, and then it gets all switched up!

Taking a closer look at a couple of the products from yesterday’s blog post for #friyayfaves. I actually wanted to post about these before the new year because Blissoma was one of my favorite discoveries of 2019. Blissoma isn’t a new brand, in fact I haven’t the slightest idea why I didn’t try them sooner. During #ANFGB19 I picked up their popular Photonic Tinted SPF, and got the free gift of a sample pack which included 4 other products. And then I loved every single one so much that I proceeded to go back and buy the full sizes. Here are my 3 favorites from Blissoma, even though I also love their Mild Rice Facial Cleanser, both bar soaps, and both masks, these are the three that I’m using at this very moment. The Aura Phyto Brightening Serum is an expertly formulated Vitamin C serum with other additional antioxidants like Pomella (pomegranate extract) and CoQ10, and extra brightening ingredients like Licorice root, Gentian, and Uva Ursi. A milky serum that absorbs so rapidly, I often ask myself if I should apply another pump. Suitable for all skin types but I personally think it’s especially attractive for congestion prone skin because of how light it is, and sensitive skin because of how gentle it is. Smooth A+ Correcting Serum I believe is their bestseller, a Niacinamide serum with botanical vitamin A. This has a beautiful scent and gel texture. I combine this with the Aura serum for the perfect A-B-C treatment. Timeless Vitamin C Reconstructive Concentrate is more suited to dry, mature, or damaged/sensitive skin. I must point out though that I typically have combination skin (a little drier in winter) and so many products clog my pores, but I’ve had zero problems with this. I LOVE this oil serum. It’s thick though, so I only use it at night, but it has made such a difference in my skin’s texture and tone in a short period of time. Have you tried Blissoma?
