Where do you go for inspiration?

It happens to all of us. We all get in a rut, in one way or another. Life has a funny way of piling up and it can really block your creativity! We are curious to know, where do you turn for inspiration?

I love Instagram or Facebook for new ideas. When I'm stuck and don't know what to sew, or I just want to look at other people creating pretty things, those are my first two stops. I follow many of the pages of the brands or designers we carry, which is a great place to start. Pinterest is also a great place to look, but I can get frustrated by too many dead-end clicks.

Here's a few of my faves! I hope you'll add them to your follow list, and please share in the comments below on Facebook, what sites or pages do you follow?

Our own inspiration link! - We have SO many talented customers and they love to share their creations! Check out the link to see what they've done with the fabrics we sell. And follow this link if you'd like to submit your own! Each month, we select one lucky winner to receive a $50 store credit!

Art Gallery Fabrics - some of the most gorgeous textiles around!

Michael Miller - another amazing producer of textiles

Mister Domestic - designer for Art Gallery and all-round awesome guy

Shannon Fabrics - makers of our popular minky and double gauze

Dear Stella - some of the cutest prints around

Riley Blake - lots of cute prints for all ages

Robert Kaufman - great prints and basics like stripes and houndstooth

Tula Pink - crazy awesome design work and detail in her fabric prints

Hopefully some of these pages get your creative juices flowing again! I'm looking forward to hearing about who you follow and sparks interest for you!

Are there any blog topics you'd like to read about? Questions about sewing something specific? Want to know about a certain type of fabric or term? Don't hesitate to leave a comment below, or send us a message on Facebook, Instagram or email us at fmfabrics@hotmail.com! We'd love to hear from you!

Have a great week,

Jane
