This handy little heart shaped scrubber easily removes dust and fabric fibers from your cutting mats allowing the self-healing mats to heal. Simply slide fingers into the opening and rub along the surface to easily remove fibers and dust that keep your mat from healing. The different ridges on the cleaner make this a hard working scrubber.
I have an old cracked cutting mat that I use exclusively for fleece, batting etc. and thought I would put this mat cleaner to the test. It passed with flying colours! I still want to do at least another pass on where I have been before but you can compare left and right sides of the photo. A lot of fluff has been removed.
Holy crow, I'm impressed! I've seen it at work on newer mats with fresh fibres and it leaves them practically brand new....but this is truly incredible! Thanks so much for sharing this Judie, it will be helpful to many others I'm sure!
Worked well, cleaned off surface fluff, but I had a couple of really deep grooves, (probably from dull cutter), so did not get right down and in grooves, worked as needed though. probably wise to use after every project. especially Minky.
I totally agree with your review! We tested it on an old, very worn mat and it got it all clean except for a couple of deep grooves that had been there for awhile! I think you're right, if you do it continually it works great....and don't forget to replace that blade on your cutter lol! Thanks so much for your feedback, we really appreciate it Maggie!
